Training Options

Option 1: Individual On-site Training

For participants who travel to a training organized by another school system in or outside the participant's own state. This fee requires that the participant purchase a curriculum kit and appropriate curriculum videos.

Benefits: Designed for an individual instead of a group. The participant will have personal interaction with the Trainer, see and hear the full 3 - session curriculum in action in a Kindergarten, 3rd grade and 5th grade classroom, share ideas with other participants, have practical experience as a part of the training session, learn strategies for implementing in schools, and learn lots about child sexual abuse and the offender.

Time: This training takes 3.5 days (21 hours) and is usually scheduled Monday, 12:30 pm- 3:30pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Option 2: On-site Training At Your School

We require a minimum enrollment of 10 participants. If 10 people do not attend, the school system is charged for 10. Trainer's travel expenses must also be paid by the school system. Travel expenses include mileage @44.5¢/mile (or current federal rate) or airfare, per diem, lodging and transportation to and from school and to and from airport - if applicable.

Benefits: Designed for school systems. Although the training is for a minimum of 10, additional educators can be included up to 22. Participants receive all the personal benefits of being trained (as described above) and includes having a Kindergarten class, 3rd grade class and 5th grade class in your own school receive the Good-Touch/Bad-Touch curriculum by the Trainer. Participants have immediate support of classroom teachers and an opportunity for Trainer to speak one evening at a parent meeting, Board of Education meeting, faculty meeting if requested when training is arranged. Training in your own area provides the opportunity for marketing the curriculum to the faculty and community so implementation is easier to plan and schedule. Personal concerns of the community can be addressed and possible solutions can be strategized with the Trainer (who brings over 20 years of organizational experience to the training).

Time: This training takes 3.5 days (21 hours) and is usually scheduled Monday, 12:30 pm- 3:30pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Option 3: Audio/Video Training

Benefits: Designed for individuals or organizations who cannot travel to a training or set up a training for staff. Appropriate are schools outside of the United States, Pre-K programs or very small school systems within the United States (only 1 or 2 schools with limited enrollment). Train yourself in your own time. No travel or trainer expenses. Allows you to listen to the classroom presentations again and again, as you train yourself and later for booster reinforcements after you begin teaching children in their classrooms. These can be purchased separately by grade levels or in a complete set for grades Pre-K through 6th.

Option 4: Teacher-Trainer Training

Benefits: Designed for large school systems.

New Option: "Establishing Healthy Boundaries"
Benefits: Designed for those organizations or individuals that want to reach children in the 7th through 9th grades. This is a new Good-Touch/Bad-Touch curriculum
